Rising water surrounds Roane's 911 Center

Ambulance squad rescues three ambulances,
but had to leave this one behind

Roane's 911 Center was evacuated Thursday as rapidly rising water surrounded the building, with 911 calls being diverted to Jackson County, and WV Homeland Security sending mobile assets to the county which has been declared a State of Emergency.

The adjacent Roane County Emergency Ambulance Squad managed to get three ambulances out of their garage during rapidly rising water, but had to leave a fourth ambulance.
