Jewell L. Whytsell Marsh, 83 - Elkview

Jewell L. Marsh, 83, of Elkview WV, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Hubbard Hospice West, South Charleston.

She was former nursing assistant with 15 years service at CAMC and a home health caregiver for over 20 years. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Elkview and a member of the Quilt Ministry and also did cooking for the families of the church at their time of need.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Shirley Rucker and Debbie Marsh; parents, Simon Whytsell and Lora Kirby Whytsell; brother, Brent Whytsell; and sister, Louise Nevitt.

Surviving are her loving husband of 66 years, Harvey Marsh; daughters, Jennifer Harless of Knoxville TN and Terri Byrd of Pinch WV; brothers, Gene Whytsell of Parkersburg WV and Kose Whytsell of Parkersburg; sisters, Genevia Morgan of Georgia and Katheryn Ladd of Ohio; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Service was held Monday, May 27, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Elkview, with Pastor Lee Swor and Pastor Dean Chambers officiating.

Burial was in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.
