Leragean S. "Pickle" Rowh, 87 - Burnsville

Leragean S. "Pickle" Rowh, age 78 of Bragg Run Road, Burnsville, West Virginia, departed this life at 1:23 a.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013 in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, West Virginia following an extended illness.

Born April 16, 1935 in Gilmer County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Otis and Myrtle Thompson Jamison.

Leragean was a Christian by faith and an active member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoyed watching game shows on TV, working puzzle books, and reading. She also enjoyed helping tend and transport others in need.

On August 5, 1967 she was united in marriage to John T. Rowh, who preceded her in death on July 27, 1999.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Christine Lake and husband George and Cherrie Dean and husband Howard Jr. both of Burnsville; 1 stepson, Mike Rowh and wife Linda of Parkersburg WV; 2 stepdaughters, Cindy Carter and husband Chuck of Ohio and Kim Heater and husband Johnnie of Glenville, WV; 4 brothers, Paul Jamison of Sand Fork WV, Gerald Jamison of Sutton WV, Randall "Tater" Jamison and Omar "Tuffy" Bosley of Ohio; and 1 sister, Orlea Gerwig of Exchange WV. There are 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren also surviving.

Along with her husband and parents, Leragean was preceded in death by her 1st husband, James Edward Demastus; 2 sons, James Mark Demastus and Kevin Holland Rowh; and 1 stepson, Joseph Rowh.

Funeral Services will be conducted at the Church of God of Prophecy, Sand Fork, WV at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery on Dusk Camp Road. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
