BEE CAUSES WOMAN TO CRASH ON RT. 5

(05/27/2013)

A woman lost control of her vehicle on Rt. 5 west of Grantsville at Cabot Station Sunday afternoon, reportedly after she was trying to ward off a bee in her car, indicating she was allergic to bee stings.

The vehicle crashed on its side in a ditch-line against the hillside, trapping her in the car.

The Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department and emergency responders extracted her from the vehicle, appearing to have only minor injuries.

She was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System by MHHS ambulance for evaluation.

State Police are investigating the accident.
