A dozen Firemen use multiple hoses attacking
blaze, Arnoldsburg VFD utilizes water turret

The Orma residence of Ronnie and Kathy Summers was completely destroyed by fire Friday evening, the structure caught on fire while the Summers' were attending graduation at Calhoun Middle-High School.

Although the Arnoldsburg and Upper West Fork VFDs responded quickly, the 911 caller reported the structure was engulfed in flames at 6:30 p.m.

The Summers' family dog was not injured.

The couple barely escaped death in the dwelling in 2009 when a malfunctioning heating system spewed out carbon monoxide and their dog "Sparky" was credited with saving them.

While fire departments brought tankers, access to nearby fire hydrants were utilized from the public water system that went in operation last year.

Also responding was Minnie Hamilton ambulance service.

There were no injuries.
