GILMER MAN ARRESTED FOR FRAUDULENT SCHEMES

The U.S. Marshals have apprehended two men wanted by West Virginia State Police for allegedly scamming businesses along Interstate 79.

Robert E. Carpenter of Gilmer County and Michael W. Radcliff were taken into custody.

Carpenter is facing a fraudulent schemes charge for writing worthless checks.

The criminal complaint says, Radcliff has charged with first degree robbery in Marion County for his involvement in an incident, also for his involvement in an armed robbery at the Saratoga Hot Spot in Star City and first degree robbery for his involvement in a robbery at the Hot Spot Lounge in Quiet Dell.
