Susie Bailey Dixon, 72 - Spencer

Susie Bailey Dixon, 72, of Spencer WV, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at the home of her brother, after an extended illness.

She was born August 4, 1939 in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Smith and Orva Siers Bailey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Dixon; two brothers Seldon and Shade; and a sister, Gracie.

Susie was a retired 44 year employee of Kellwood Corp., Spencer. She was formerly employed by "Meals on Wheels," Jack Garrett Ford and City Cleaners. Her hobbies included gardening and sewing.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Carper of Spencer and Diane Pabst of Le Roy WV; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, John of Vincent OH and Shelby of Newton Falls OH; five sisters, Jeannie of Marietta OH, Lois of Little Hocking OH, Sandra of Canton OH, Madge of Fleming OH and Bernice of Newton Falls OH.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 19 in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Michael F. "Mike" King officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover. Friends may call two hours before the funeral.
