KLIPSTINE ROAD COUPLE FACING METH CHARGES - CPS Removes Children

(05/11/2013)

A Big Springs couple are facing multiple charges related to meth-making in their Klipstine Road residence, according to the WV State Police.

Joshua Thomas Slider, 28, and Georgie Gaglione, 29, have been felony charged with operating or attempting to operate a clandestine meth lab, exposure of meth to a child, exposure of meth to a first responder and possession charges.

State Police Cpl. J. B. Hunt and Trooper D. C. Moore responded to a call from Calhoun Child Protective Services regarding production of meth in a residence.

State Police, according to the criminal complaint, said two small children, ages two and eight, were in the residence, and that the female subject, Georgie Gaglione was pregnant. CPS took custody of the children.

Cpl. J. B. Hunt, in the criminal complaint, observed Joshua Slider "frantically running around" in an attempt to hide items related to meth production and possession.

The criminal complaint said officers discovered white powder strewn by a back door and a plastic bottle in the underpinning of the house.

The officers observed "that this bottle had what appeared to be crystals consistent with the production of meth...this bottle was still smoking."

After getting consent to search, officers discovered what appeared to be meth in a plastic bag, according to the complaint, in addition to products generally used in meth making.

Both individuals charged are in Central Regional Jail. Slider's bail has been set at $35,000 and Gaglione's bail is $17,000.
