| Virgil I. Boggs, 84, of St. Marys, WV, formerly of Sutton went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Gilmer County, WV on January 27, 1929 to the late Roy & Chloe Boggs. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Louella Simmons. Virgil was a member of Greensburg Temple Baptist Church of Greensburg, OH and also attended Poplar Ridge Community Church, near Sutton & Cow Creek Methodist Church of St. Marys, WV. He was a Teamster for Local 24 of Akron, OH. Virgil loved God, his family, camping, fishing, hunting, western books, John Wayne movies, puzzles and a good game of dominoes. Virgil leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years Geraldine Jamison Boggs and 7 children, Dianne (Stan) Texter of Akron OH, Janice (Steve) Hughes of Frametown WV, Sharlene Heiney of Grantsville WV, Donna (Mike) Bunner of St. Marys WV, Wayne (Carla) Boggs of Akron OH, Dwight Boggs of Venice FL, Duane Boggs of Manassas VA; brother, Paul (Judy) Boggs of Cape Coral FL; aunt, Martha Villers of Columbia Station OH; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday May 4, 2013 at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton with the Pastor David Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Bug Ridge Community Cemetery, near Sutton, WV. Friends may call two hours prior at the funeral home. Greene-Robertson Funeral Home is humbled to be serving the Boggs family.
