Virgil Dewitt "Dick" Parrill, 78 - Spencer

Virgil Dewitt "Dick" Parrill, 78, known as "Dick Parrill" to family and friends died April 28, 2013 at the Roane General Hospital in Spencer.

He was born February 15, 1935 a son of the late Henry Clay and Mae Greathouse Parrill. He was the owner of Morkop Pest Control for 37 years. Dick not only took pride in his business, but truly relished the friends he made during his time in business. Over the years his pest control expertise and reputation led him to be known by all as the top person to call to get rid of your pest. Also, he was on the Zoning Board Committee. Dick was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Agnes Nellie Parrill; his daughter, Beverly A. Caldwell and son-in-law, James C. Caldwell II; three grandchildren, Stacy Walker, Shelly Rohrbaugh, and James C. Caldwell III; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Mamie Dawson.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by sisters, Nina Cassady, Opal Kirby, Blanche Whytsell, Joann Henthorn and sister, Kate Gainer; and brothers, Raymond and Clay Parrill. Service 2:00 pm Friday, May 3, 2013 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with Bill Walton officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
