Berta Craddock Dever, 95 - Morristown TN

Berta Craddock Dever, 95, of Morristown, Tennessee departed this life on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Roane General Hospital in Spencer, West Virginia. She was born on November 25, 1917 near Alkol, West Virginia a daughter of the late James D. and Basha Myers Craddock. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William S. Craddock. Mrs. Dever was a retired nurse and attended Marshall College and graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in Huntington, West Virginia. She was a member of the Morningside Baptist Church in Morristown. Berta is survived by one son, James S. and JoAnn Dever of Walton, West Virginia; one grandson, Philip and Angie Dever, also of Walton; one granddaughter, Janice and JD Heavner of Upper Tract, West Virginia; four great-grandchildren, Dakota, Lydia, Katie and Hannah; and one nephew and family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with Rev. Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will be in the Boone Memorial Park in Madison, West Virginia at 2:30 pm on Thursday. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
