Evelyn D. Wood, 63 - Shock

Evelyn D. Wood, 63, of Shock, Gilmer County, passed away April 25, 2013 at her home following an extended illness. Born at Lower Run, Calhoun County, she was a daughter of Blondina (Dean) Duelley Richards and the late Burlen (Bunk) Richards. Surviving is her husband, Gerald (Gene) Wood whom she married August 22, 1970; three children, Curtis Wood, Shannon Catherine Dobbins (Jerry) of Shock, Chris Wood (Becky) of Morgantown; eight grandchildren, Carrissa Wood, Shawn, Makayla and Rebeah Skeens, Sierra and Hannah Wood all of Shock, Ken McDaniel and Jamie Wood of Morgantown; Evelyn's mother, Blondina (Dean) Richards of Mt. Zion; three brothers, Roxel, Mike (Kay) and Denver Richards, all of Mt. Zion; two aunts and one uncle. She will be sadly missed and loved by all that knew her. Funeral services will be held Sunday, 1:00 pm, at the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg with Rev. Rodney England officiating. Interment will be in the Wood Cemetery at Stumptown. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
