WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Man Threatened To Shoot, Eat Kidnapped Victims

KIDNAP THREATS - Police have charged a Beckley man after he allegedly kidnapped three adults and threatened to shoot and then eat them.

John Will Jackson, 40, was in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on $20,000 bond. He has been charged with one count of attempted robbery and three counts of kidnapping.

Trooper D.T. Stallings says Jackson forced the victims to drive him to a tobacco store in Elkins last weekend.

The Inter-Mountain said the victims were at a party in Beverly but left when a fight broke out. They told police Jackson indicated he had a weapon and demanded they take him to the store.

Police said the victims said that Jackson repeatedly threatened to shoot, bite and eat them.

It turned out that Jackson didn't have a weapon.

MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO FIREARMS CHARGE - A Parkersburg man who opened fire at a home in Parkersburg has admitted to federal firearm possession charges.

Shaun Michael Linko, 25, pleaded guilty to one count of being a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm before U.S. District Judge Thomas E. Johnston.

In September, Parkersburg police responded to a shootingand found several spent shell casings from a semi-automatic rifle along with bullet holes on the outside of one of the homes.

Linko was previously convicted of a felony drug charge, and was prohibited from carrying a firearm. Her faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He will sentenced on Aug. 27.
