AUTO CRASHES ON TOP AT SAND RIDGE - Injured Man Taken To MHHS

A 22-year-old man, reportedly a US Army soldier stationed at Ft. Bragg, was injured when his vehicle went out of control in a sharp curve on Sand Ridge Hill about midnight Thursday.

The vehicle crashed against the hillside along US 33-119 landing on its top, the east side of Sand Ridge.

The injured man extracted himself from the vehicle and was prostate in the highway when responders arrived.

He was reportedly suffering from a possible back injury.

The accident happened in an area with sharp curves, a scene of frequent accidents.

He was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System by Calhoun EMS.

The Arnoldsburg VFD responded to the accident.

State Police are investigating.
