CALHOUN COMMISSION APPROVES LEVY ESTIMATE AND BUDGET - Approves Bid For Courthouse Roof Repair

The Calhoun Commission approved the 2013-14 levy estimate and budget, and levy rates and the excess levy at a Tuesday meeting. The commission accepted a $185,370 low bid from Murray Sheet Metal for a courthouse roof project. Prosecutor Shannon Johnson withdrew her request as a full-time prosecutor, to be reconsidered at a later date. The commission approved the transfer of ambulance service from Calhoun EMS to Minnie Hamilton Health System on May 16.
