William Eugene Kelley, 83 - Big Springs

William Eugene Kelley, 83, of Big Springs WV passed away April 10, 2013 at his home following an extended illness.

Born in Calhoun County, May 12, 1929, he was a son of the late William Treavy Kelley and Elizabeth Wease Kelley. He was a retired Calhoun County school bus driver and mechanic. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are his children, Darlene (Pat) Bell of Big Springs, Gina (Buck) Kelley of Elkview WV and William W. (Amanda) Kelley of Chesapeake OH; one sister, Leona Burrows of Marietta OH; four grandchildren, Brei and Landon Kelley, Patrick James Bell, II and Teresa Goodnight; and one great grandchild, McKenzie Goodnight.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary Gainer Kelley; two brothers, Haven and Holly Kelley; two sisters, Cleo Johnson and Mary Slider.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Grantsville. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services Saturday. Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville is in charge of the arrangements.
