|A Gilmer County man and a Braxton County woman are facing multiple charges after being arrested in Grantsville, their cases are being bound over to circuit court.|
The Grantsville Police Department arrested the couple using an informant, according to a criminal complaint.
William Wayne Cottrell, 33, of Glenville, has been charged with a felon in possession of a firearm, possessing a meth precursor, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit a felony, and conspiracy to commit a drug related felony, according to Central Regional Jail.
Belinda Dawn Riffle, 24, of Flatwoods, has been charged with conspiracy to commit a drug related felony, possessing a meth precursor, and conspiracy to commit a felony, according to Central Regional Jail.
The criminal complaint issued by Chief Andy Walker says he issued a $50 marked bill to be used by an informant in making a purchase of meth, during which time a weapon was discovered on Cottrell's person, a violation related to Cottrell being a convicted felon.
In the criminal complaint, Chief Walker says during the drug buy, it was discovered that Mark Brian Harris had purchased meth making ingredients for Cottrell.
Chief Walker, in the complaint, says that Harris admitted to purchasing ingredients in exchange for meth.
The arrests were made on March 16-17. Belinda Riffle remains in Central Regional Jail, bail at $25,000. Cottrell has been released on bond.
