Victor Earl "Vic" Ingram, 86 - Spencer

Victor Earl "Vic" Ingram, 86, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Miletree Center in Spencer.

He was born July 5, 1926 in Lubeck, West Virginia, a son of the late Walter Allen and Yula Ombra Smith Ingram.

Vic retired in 1984 as a linesman with Monongahela Power. He loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, and farming and valued hard work. He was a member of the Spencer Presbyterian Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he was stationed in Germany with the Engineering Team.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Frances Simmons Ingram; four daughters, Jean (Paul) Guerette of Bowdoinham, Maine, and Vicki (Gordon) Rosenthal, Gayle (Tony) Ingram, and Kelli Ingram, all of Damascus, Maryland; two brothers, Glenn "Skip" and Walter Ingram, Jr., both of Parkersburg, West Virginia; and six grandchildren, Elliott, David, Nicholas, Andrew, Elizabeth, and Jonathan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Elsie, Beulah, and Geneva; and two brothers, Bruce and Paul.

Services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME in Spencer, with Rev. Ron Buckalew officiating. Burial and graveside services will follow at 12:30pm in the Bethel Presbyterian Cemetery near Parkersburg. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
