LOOSEN YOUR BELT: BIG OTTER VFD RAMP DINNER SUNDAY - 'Tonic For Body And Soul'

(04/20/2013)

Ramp eatin' time is a celebration of Spring and a tonic for the body and soul.

With the fading of the Upper West Fork Ramp Dinner a few years ago, ramp eatin' venues are on a short list, largely because of the volunteerism and difficulty required to dig and prepare them.

Some ramps are cooked, some are ate raw and some are mixed with other fine food.

Big Otter volunteers will spend hours working on the food, preparing the ramps, frying ham and bacon, heaps of fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, green and brown beans, with cornbread. Then there's drinks and dessert.

The feed starts at noon on Sunday.

Adults $10.00, Under 10 years $5.00.
