WILLIE (DICKEY) McCUMBERS, Sr. - Nicut

Willie (Dickey) McCumbers, Sr., 60 of Nicut, Braxton County, WV, died August 10 at home following a long illness.

Born in Braxton county, he was a son of the late Noah and mary Starcher McCumbers. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving are a long time companion, Neva Siers of Nicut and a son, Willie McCumbers, Jr. of Fredericksburg, VA; a daughter, Margaret Nicholson of Gassaway, WV; two step-sons, Donnie (Laura) Siers of Front Royal, VA and Ritchie Siers of Rosedale, WV; five grandchildren, Sharon McCumbers of Glenville, WV, Chessie McCumbers of Ravenna, Ohio, Boyd, Jessie and Diane Nicholson of Gassaway; ten brothers, Willard (Betty) McCumbers of Panama City, FL, William (Lois), Garry (Margaret), Paul (Donna), and Donald McCumbers all of Rosedale, WV, Wilber (Peggy) and Roy (Linda) McCumbers of Gassaway, WV, Charles (Loretta) McCumbers of Frametown, WV and Rickey (Marie) McCumbers of Front Royal, Clarence (Eileen) McCumbers of Akron, Ohio; sister, Betty (James) of Manassas, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister.

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Reverend Tom Propst will officiate. Interment will be in the McCumbers Cemetery at Nicut. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
