| Zoa Jarvis Truman, 97, of Spencer WV died at 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 24, 2013 in the Eldercare of West Virginia, Ripley, after an extended illness.
She was born November 7, 1915, at Oka, Calhoun County, a daughter of the late John A. and Verna Cottrell Jarvis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Truman; a daughter, Linda Webb; an infant sister and a sister, Macel Jarvis.
Mrs. Truman was a cook. She had worked for the Roane County Head Start, the Reedy Grade School and the Spencer Livestock Market. She enjoyed quilting and crafting.
Survivors include a son, Garland Truman of Spencer; two daughters, Janice Jett of Doylestown, OH and Margie Giles of Elizabeth; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27 in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Justin S. Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the Cottrell Cemetery, Oka.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
