| David Vance Barr, 57, of Grantsville WV, passed away at home and went to be with the Lord on March 24, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Garnet Marie (Kelley) Barr who undoubtedly continued to watch over him; maternal grandparents, Fred and Ednal (Harden) Kelley; and paternal grandparents, Alfred "Ted" and Caroline (Kelley) Barr.
Vance was an extraordinary person who taught all who knew and loved him how to be joyful over the smallest of life's daily adventures - truck rides, fireworks, and birthday candles were among his favorite things. The Lord truly blessed us with Vance's presence here.
Surviving are his father, David Barr of Grantsville; four siblings, Fred Wayne Ward of Raleigh NC, Christine Barr of Nitro, Mark Barr of Grantsville and Brent Barr of Grantsville; nephews, Kristopher Ward, Isaiah Wilson and Josiah Wilson; and nieces, Tracie (Barr) Hosey, Amy Barr, Tiffany (Barr) McCumbers, Kayla Barr, Shana Starkey and Brenlyn Barr.
The family would like to thank Dr. Fincham and the wonderful nurses and staff at Minnie Hamilton Health System and the many friends and loved ones who visited Vance in the hospital and held him and his family close in thoughts and prayers.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville is in charge of arrangements. |
