(03/23/2013)

Jeff Starcher and his wife Samantha

A new business, J & S Precision Firearms Training, has been established in Calhoun by Jeff Starcher and his wife Samantha,

"Currently, we have three firearms instructors (including myself) with approximately 66 years of total combined law enforcement firearms related experience," said Starcher.

Starcher said it is one of the largest licensed firearms training organizations in central WV that is licensed and certified to conduct Basic Pistol (Concealed Firearm) Courses.

"The courses that we offer are currently through the National Rifle Association and are based on NRA course curriculum and in accordance with West Virginia State Code."

"We will soon be offering other personal defense classes for those individuals wanting to sharpen their shooting skills or participate in a refresher firearm course."

"Our company supports your second constitutional amendment by actively recruiting new members to the NRA."

Starcher said so far interest in Calhoun County has been high.

He said the company will soon be offering an 8 hour NRA Basic Pistol (concealed firearm) Course at the Arnoldsburg Community Building on April 13, beginning at 8:00 a.m.

The deadline to register for this course is March 30.
