TWO WIRT STUDENTS EXPELLED FOR BOMB THREAT - Criminal Charges Also Filed

(03/22/2013)
Wirt County schools expelled two students last week for making a bomb threat, according to school board minutes.

Wirt County Sheriff Keith Wilson said the investigation into the threat has resulted in criminal charges being filed.

School officials said based on the evidence , they were able to prove without a doubt the two students were responsible for the threats.

The expulsions and charges marks the third time this year the school board has expelled a student for a bomb threat.

A 16-year-old girl was suspended by the board of education in January for a bomb threat to the school system in December.

Sheriff Wilson said that girl was charged with a felony and is now serving her sentence in a juvenile facility in the state.
