Lucy M. "Kate" Brannon, 79 - Akron, Ohio

Lucy M. "Kate" Brannon, 79, of Akron, Ohio passed away suddenly, Saturday, March 16, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Spencer, West Virginia and lived most of her adult life in Akron. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Lee and Lori Starcher Church.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul Brannon; four daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Gene Moye, Sharon and Paul Smith-Hardy, Betty and Larry Bramlett, and Tina and Russell McNatt; grandchildren, Joshua, Jennifer, Tabitha, Amanda, Jeremiah, Paul, Craig, Malissa and Heather; great-grandchildren, Brannon, Donnell, Tyler, Ariana, Michael and Nicholas; sister, Beulah Jett; and a brother, Bruce Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Lee and Lori Starcher Church; a sister, Ethel Bowen; and five brothers, Earl, Ed, Roy, Henry, and Richard "Buck" Church.

Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 19, 2013 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with Rev. Jackie Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery near Spencer. Visiting hours are from 5:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Alzheimers Association, Streetsboro Street, Suite 201 Hudson OH 44236.
