| Fifty-nine students from Calhoun Middle-High School's sixth, seventh and eighth grade will participate in the second annual National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) induction ceremony on March 28th starting at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium of CCMHS.|
Membership into the NJHS is one of the highest honors that can be awarded a student throughout their school years and beyond.
Calhoun Middle-High's Chapter of NJHS is working hard to bring the accomplishments of outstanding students to the attention of parents, teachers, peers and our community.
No student is inducted simply because of a high academic average (Calhoun students must have a GPA of 3.5 or better). Our chapter also strives to recognize the total student which includes practical applications of leadership, service, citizenship and character.
Membership, however, is more than an honor. It incurs a responsibility and obligation to demonstrate the above mentioned criteria and actively participate in the community.
We are very proud to recognize these outstanding members of our student body. NJHS members will be expected to continue their exemplary contributions to the school and community.
We invite our community to join us on March 28th from 6:00 to 6:40 in recognizing and standing with this exemplary group of students as they embark on this journey, as it is their journey that counts.
