Malnie Lea McQuain, 75 - Looneyville

Malnie Lea McQuain, 75, of Looneyville, West Virginia, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

She was born November 27, 1937 at Left Hand, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Thomas and Bessie May Nichols Potts. She was a homemaker, sold Avon, and was a well-know quilter in the area. She was also a member of the Flat Fork Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sisters, Hope Osborne and Betty Sloan, both of Amma, West Virginia; three grandchildren, Crystal Young of Clendenin, West Virginia, Trinity "TJ" McQuain of Tariff, West Virginia, and Scott McQuain of Fairmont, West Virginia; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Grover McQuain, Jr.; a son, Clyde Earl McQuain; a sister, Myrtle Hopkins; and two brothers, Tommy and Noel Potts.

A service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia, with Rev. Danny Whited officiating. Burial will follow in the Clover Cemetery near Spencer. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
