UPDATE 3/16 - An Upshur County man accused of abducting a teenager and her daughter has been charged with one additional count of sexual abuse.

Margel Tenney, 57, will appear in court on March 22 for a preliminary hearing.

Tenney was already facing two counts of sexual abuse from a prior incident in Lewis County.

Now, a third count in Upshur County has been added.

State Police say the charges do not involve the girls he's accused of abducting. They are also saying more charges are pending.

Tenney is now in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bail set at $250,000.

UPDATE 3/13 11:45 AM - State Police have arrested Margel Tenney, (left) a suspect in an abduction, without incident.

The mother and baby he abducted were not harmed.

News reports say a state trooper from the Buckhannon detachment was on his way to Charleston when he got behind a suspicious vehicle and used the license plate number to get details.

The officer called for assistance and troopers from surrounding counties responded.

Margel Tenney is the stepfather of Shaina Nicole Tenney, 16, who is the mother of 7-month-old Grace Hope Tenney. They were reportedly abducted from a home in the Rock Cave area of Upshur County on Tuesday by Margel Tenney.

Tenney has been charged with sexual abuse by parent/guardian. He is in Central Regional Jail, bail set at $100,000.

ORIGINAL STORY TUE. 3/12 9:30 PM - Police believe Margel Tenney is now driving a 1999 beige Ford Taurus with license plat 2LW179. He is believed to be headed toward Texas.

Police have yet to give a possible motive for Tenney taking an Upsher County teen and her 7-month-old child.

TUE. 3/12 7:50 PM - West Virginia State Police have issued two Amber Alerts regarding the abduction of two girls from Rock Cave in Upshur County.

State police are looking for Shaina Nicole Tenney, 16, and her daughter, Grace Hope Tenney, 7 months.

Shaina is 5' 2" and 225 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen at a residence located in Rock Cave area and is believed to be in extreme danger.

Shaina was last seen wearing black stretch pants, gray shirt with a black or gray hoodie and white tennis shoes.

Grace has black hair and blue eyes. She's 2' 4" tall and about 19 pounds. She was last seen wearing a flowered sundress with a pink coat.

Authorities advise the two were likely abducted by a family member by the name of Margel Tenney who is 5' 8" and 200 pounds with blue eyes and wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans with Redwing boots.

They may be traveling in a red 1999 Dodge Dually extended cab truck with unknown registration. It was last seen traveling West Virginia Route 20 south near the Upshur and Webster County line.
