| Dean R. Stump, 74, of Grantsville WV passed away Monday March 11, 2013 at Genesis Healthcare Glenville Center. He was born at Apple Farm Calhoun County the son of the late Edwin and Lurland (Robinson) Stump. He was a 1956 graduate of Calhoun County High School. Served in the United States Army, drove tractor and trailers for several years throughout the United States, was a heavy equipment operator, last working for D.P. Gunn Dozer Service of Mt. Zion. Hnjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid Nascar fan. He is survived by his children, Linda (Dale) Martin of Grantsville, Mark Stump of Grantsville, and Denise (Jerry) Bunner of Creston WV; 4 stepchildren, Diane (Gene) Satterfield of Arnoldsburg WV, Sherry (Donald Poe) Gunn of Mt. Zion WV, Stuart "Kim" (Robin) Starcher of Spencer WV, and Kevin Starcher of Arnoldsburg; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Lyla Sharps of Glenville WV; 1 brother, Garrel (Dorthoy) Stump Of Parkersburg WV; and ex-wife Phyllis Hathaway of Grantsville; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by both his parents; his first wife, Susanne Margaret; infant brother, Edwin Duane Stump; and grandson, Marc Antony Stump. Memorial services will be Saturday March 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV with the Rev. Roger Cater and Rev. Gene Satterfield officiating.
