CMHS ANNOUNCES YOUNG WRITERS WINNERS

WV Young Writers Day will be held Friday, May 24th at the University of Charleston with support from the University of Charleston and the State of West Virginia. The event showcases and honors student writers in grades 1 through 12 from every county of West Virginia.

County winners will receive certificates commemorating their achievement and be treated to programs and workshops with published authors.

Hundreds of students, teachers, and proud family members attend Young Writers Day at the University of Charleston each year. Such outstanding participation symbolizes the importance of writing for West Virginia students, their teachers, and their families.

State winners in each of the 6 contest categories will receive a check of $100 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd place, and $25 for 3rd place.
