Ruby Marie Bailey, 90 - Spencer

Ruby Marie Bailey, 90, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away after a short illness on Monday at the home of her daughter with family by her side.

She was born December 4, 1922 at Walton WV a daughter of the late Columbus and Pearl Jackson Starcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bailey; son, Roger Scott Bailey; sister and brother-in-law, Thelma S. and Stanley Morrison.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Ed Elswick of Charleston WV; grandson and his wife, J. Ryan and Monica Elswick of Louisville KY; granddaughter and her husband, Erika and Steve Smith of Charleston; two great grandchildren, Sadie and Eli Elswick.

Marie was a homemaker and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Spencer.

Friends may visit the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, from 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 8. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Spencer, with Pastor Doug Sandy officiating. Burial will be in the Spencer Memorial Cemetery, Spencer.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Spencer or HospiceCare at   www.hospicecarewv.org
