WIRT SCHOOL HAS BOMB THREAT - Suspect Being Questioned

(03/07/2013)
Wirt County High School was disrupted for an hour Wednesday from yet another bomb threat.

Wirt County Schools Superintendent Dan Metz said the school was evacuated after the threat was found on note, which was turned over to staff.

Metz said parents were notified through the rapid call system and officials responded to the school, including a bomb sniffing dog.

Metz told media that police have a young person they believe is responsible.

A 16-year-old female was suspended in January for a bomb threat to the school system in December.

The girl from the previous incident was charged with a felony and is now serving her sentence in a juvenile facility.
