Four Calhoun FFA members attended the small farm conference held in Morgantown, February 28th. The students pictured above attended 3 youth agriculture entrepreneurship workshops before attending a special luncheon and awards presentation.

In December, Nick Smith and Hillary Lane submitted old pictures with a writing assignment based upon agriculture over 20 years ago. With 62 articles submitted throughout the state, Hillary received 3rd place Honorable Mention and a check for $25. Her article focused on interviewing her grandmother.

Nick Smith was awarded 2nd place in the state and received a check for $75. His article focused on the draft horse and their ability to work the farm.

Congratulations to these students for a job well done in the Agriculture Heritage Contest.
