Everett D. Sampson, 83 - Creston

Everett D. Sampson, 83, of Creston WV passed March 1, 2013. He was Born in Sylvania Ohio, The son of the Late Howard and Eva(Nutter) Sampson. He served in the United States Navy for nine years during the end of World War II and the beginning of the Korean Conflict. He worked for several years for the United State Postal Service as a carrier and later as a clerk. He loved fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by three sons, Damon Sampson of Creston WV, Mike Bennett of Florida, Kevin Sampson of California; a daughter, Jennifer Southall of Spencer WV; two brothers, Max Sampson of Rockport WV and Ron Sampson of Belpre Ohio; four grandchildren, Brady and Erik Johnson of Orma WV, Keyton and Kylee Sampson of Williamstown WV. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles Sampson, and one sister Nancy Hetzer. Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV with the Rev Matt Hornbeck officiating.
