Ruth Faye Boggs, 80 - Spencer

Ruth Faye Boggs, 80, of Spencer, West Virginia died February 25, 2013 at the Roane General Hospital in Spencer.

She was born July 14, 1932 in Calhoun County, West Virginia a daughter of the late Ray and Amy May Brannon. She was a homemaker and formerly worked as a cook at the Spencer State Hospital. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, auctions and her collection of cuckoo clocks.

Ruth is survived by five sons and their wives, James and June Brannon of Spencer, Ronald and Connie Boggs of Linden, West Virginia, Randall and Sabrina Boggs of Moorefield, West Virginia, Calvin and Vickie Boggs of Tariff, West Virginia, and Estel and Debbie Boggs of Ripley, West Virginia; four sisters, Mae Conley of Linden, Betty Keen and Carolyn Bailey, both of Calhoun County, and Dottie Parsons of Ohio; two brothers, Vere "Bill" Brannon of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and Larry Brannon of Spencer; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her caregivers, Billie Ketch and Janet Webb.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronzel Ray Boggs; a son, Michael Layne Boggs; a daughter, Helen Toothman; and two sisters, Erma Jean Brannon and Opal Cottrell.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday, March 1, 2013 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with her nephew, Rev. John Boggs officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery. Visiting hours are from 6:00 to 8:00pm Thursday at the funeral home.
