Ronald E. Taylor, 69 - Normantown

Ronald E. Taylor age 69 of Normantown, West Virginia, formerly of Grafton, Ohio, departed this life Tuesday February 19, 2013 at his residence following a long battle with cancer.

Born on March 27, 1943, son of the late Charles and Wilda Hendricks Taylor.

Ronald was a United States Navy Veteran and worked for General Motors for 30 years before retiring in 2006. He also owned Taylor's Construction Company where he enjoyed doing jobs for family and friends. Ronald was a graduate of Midview High School, class of 1961. He enjoyed spending time on the farm with his wife Dee, the love of his life, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On May 8, 1974 he was united in marriage to Duretha Moore, who survives at their Normantown home.

Surviving are his children, Shawn, Terri Wilmoth, and Bob (Cheryl) Whisman all of Elyria Ohio, and Sue (Dan) Fayak of Sullivan Ohio.

There are 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and 4 brothers, Chuck (Darlene) Taylor of Arizona, John (Darlene) Taylor of LaGrange Ohio, Richard (Susan) Taylor of Grafton Ohio, and Jim (Brenda) Taylor of Elyria OH, also surviving.

Along with his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by 1 son, Timothy A. Taylor.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2013, at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. . Glenville, West Virginia and Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. at 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 23, 2013, with Elder Larry Fisher officiating. At Ronald's request his remains with be cremated and private burial will be set at a later date.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care Corp., PO Box 323, Burnsville WV. 26335 or The Glenville First Baptist Church "Cancer Fund", 217 East Main St. Glenville WV. 26351.
