(02/19/2013)
MURDER-SUICIDE IN KANAWHA - A doctor and his wife were found dead of gunshot wounds in their Cross Lanes home on Monday, deputies saying they believe the two were killed in a murder-suicide. Neighbors identified the victims as Dr. Bruce Foster and his wife, Marlise Foster.

A neighbor said that Bruce Foster's arm was draped over his wife's body.

The Charleston Gazette reported that a neighbor said, "They were never apart. I've never seen such an in-love couple. They're going to be missed greatly."

WOMAN SHOOTS BOYFRIEND - State Police say a Logan County man is dead after being shot by his girlfriend. George Bowens, 35, was found shot inside his girlfriend's home.

Troopers were called to the home about 11:40 a.m. Sunday concerning a shooting following an alleged breaking and entering.

Police say that Bowens' on-again, off-again girlfriend, Venus Parton, 39, told them she shot Bowens in self-defense after he broke in.

Troopers said the couple had a history of domestic violence.

Troopers say they're processing the crime scene and working to gather evidence about the relationship between the two. Charges have yet to be filed.

LOOKING FOR GOLD - Huntington police are searching for a man in an armed robbery at a gold exchange store.

Police said a man approached an employee at the business to pawn some jewelry, showed a gun, demanded cash and then fled on foot.

HUNTINGTON POT ROBBERY, A TANGLED CASE - A report of a robbery led police in two cities to five people, including the men who told police they were robbed, according to WSAZ-TV.

Huntington Police say two men approached several officers at the scene of a car accident Sunday night and said they had just been robbed at gunpoint at a residence.

Police issued "BOLO" and Hurricane Police pulled that car over on I-64.

Inside the car police found about a half pound of marijuana. Police said the pot was allegedly stolen from the men in Huntington.

Hurricane Police arrested the three men inside the car.

Karson Williams, 19, and Jacob Brown, 21, were charged with possession with the intent to deliver. James Flint, 20, was charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.

Police say those arrests then led them back to the men who filed the original robbery complaint and Neal Richardson was arrested and charged with manufacturing or possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance.

William "Kevin" Maynard, 22, also was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to deliver.

WSAZ-tv says Huntington Police went back to the location where the original robbery allegedly happened and found 18 grams of marijuana and hydrocodone pills.
