UPDATE: DODDRIDGE TEEN ARRAIGNED IN TRIPLE MURDER CASE - Youth Will Be Tried As Adult

A Doddridge County teenager who allegedly shot and killed three family members was arraigned Tuesday in West Union.

Joseph Spencer, 16 (right) was indicted Monday by a grand jury, and will be tried as an adult.

Spencer's lawyer said his mental competency has not yet been determined.

Spencer did not plead guilty or not guilty. Instead, but stood silent before a judge.

The shootings took place at the family home last Labor Day.

He is charged with killing his father, mother and younger sister.
