WV SPENT $15 MILLION ON BROADBAND PROJECTS ABOVE PROJECT NEEDS - Bringing State Into 21st Century Flunks Again

In an effort to bring rural West Virginia into the 21st century with real broadband, the disappointments continue to mount.

A report says WV state officials spent $15 million extra on routers and equipment, far above what the projects called for.

The purchasing were done in a "legally unauthorized" way, the report says.
