CALHOUN FARM BUREAU COLLECTING FOOD RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE

The Calhoun County Farm Bureau will be collecting non-perishable items for the Ronald McDonald Houses of WV during Food Check out Week to be held February 9-16, 2013.

Locations of drop off will be Holberts Self- Serve in Big Bend WV, Speedy Mart in Arnoldsburg and a special one day collection on February 9 at the Grantsville Foodland.

Special boxes will be placed at these three locations. Look for signs near the front of the stores. Also being collected will be aluminum can pull tabs.

You may drop those off in the food collection boxes as well. Please place your tabs in a plastic baggie. No cans, only tabs, please.

If you would like to donate money to the Ronald McDonald Houses, you may send a check made payable to the Calhoun County Farm Bureau.

Mail to Calhoun Farm Bureau c/o Christina Miller 1105 Annamoriah Road Creston WV 26141. Please postmark no later than February 15.

Money collected will be sent to the Ronald McDonald Houses and used to buy fresh foods and other supplies they need. Items needed include, but not limited to, canned chunky soup, canned chicken breast, canned tuna, canned chili, canned beef stew, canned chicken and dumplings, Vienna sausage, Beanie Weenies, Ravioli, Spam, cereal, peanut butter, sugar individual packets, coffee creamer, cooking oil, snack foods such as peanut butter and cheese filled crackers, chips, cookies, Granola; Trail Mix/Energy Bars, brownie mix, microwave popcorn(no kettle corn), fabric sheets, liquid laundry detergent, etc.
