RT. 5 BLOCKED BY LANDSLIDE IN GILMER CO. NOW OPEN

UPDATE- Rt. 5 open to traffic mid-morning Tuesday. ORIGINAL STORY - A large earth slide with boulders has blocked WV State Rt. 5, both lanes, in Gilmer County near the Monongahela Power Office. The highway was completely blocked at 11 p.m. Monday. Road crews will be arriving on scene to open the highway. Drivers going to Glenville on Rt. 5 should take another route.
