A criminal complaint says Jones took a Savage rifle, money estimated at $120 and some ammunition from the residence of Roger Metz on South Calhoun Highway.

According to the complaint, Metz said Jones, his nephew, had been calling his residence. The complaint says when confronted about the burglary, Jones admitted he needed money, indicating he committed the crime.

Jones faced earlier charges in Calhoun related to the alleged burglarizing of his parents home and taking pain medication from an elderly persons house.
