WV VOTER TURN-OUT 55% AVERAGE FOR PRESIDENTIAL RACE - Lincoln, McDowell And Calhoun Lowest Turnout

About 55 percent of West Virginia's registered voters cast ballots during the 2012 presidential election.

In the 2010 off-year general election, the turnout was 44 percent.

More than 71 percent of registered voters in Pocahontas County cast ballots, the highest percentage in the state.

Lincoln County recorded the poorest turnout at 38.73 percent, with McDowell next at 39.91 percent and Calhoun next with 40.16% percent.
