MAN LEFT FOR DEAD - Raleigh County authorities are looking for someone who stabbed a man and left him for dead along a country road.

Raleigh County sheriff's deputies found Guy Cantley lying along Upper Rock Creek Road about 2 a.m. Sunday, where he had been stabbed.

Cantley was taken to Raleigh General Hospital, then transferred to CAMC General Hospital, a report on his condition not available.

MAN SHOT IN KANAWHA - A man showed up at a Thomas Memorial Hospital Monday morning after he had been shot.

Police say Robert Hill was hit by gunfire in the shoulder.

He was taken to the hospital by a friend.

Hill is reportedly giving little information about his shooting.

The incident happened about 4:30 a.m. near the Kanawha-Putnam County line.

WV MAN ARRESTED FOR GUN SALES - A Wheeling man faces up to 25 years in prison for illegally exporting firearms to buyers in Canada and Israel.

The Mountain State has been targeted for the origin of guns used for illegal activities, saying the state is a place of origin for the sale or legal or illegal guns used in criminal activity.

U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II said Monday that 25-year-old Michael Steven Frank pleaded guilty to conspiracy to export firearms and money laundering.

Ihlenfeld says Frank acquired two-dozen firearms from gun dealers in the Ohio Valley and shipped them to buyers in the two countries in exchange for cash payments.

Under the plea agreement, Frank will forfeit the firearms. He also faces a fine of up to $750,000 when sentenced.
