THREE SPENCER RESIDENTS ARRESTED ON METH CHARGES - Children Taken To Hospital

(01/14/2013)

L-R: Ned Gipson, Della Bailey, Roy Brown

Two Spencer children were taken to Roane General Hospital after police caught three people making meth in a residence at Jefferson Street in Spencer.

A criminal complaint says officers were responding to a domestic disturbance Friday when the problem was discovered.

When police got on scene, officers said they were confronted by Ned Gipson, 37, who was acting erratically and had to be restrained.

The complaint says an officer noticed there were two small children in the house, along with materials used to make meth in the microwave.

The officer returned with a search warrant and says he found more materials used to make the drug in the bathroom, kitchen and attic.

The children were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Ned Gipson, 37, Della Bailey, 33, and Roy Brown, 34, are all charged with attempting to operate a clandestine meth lab, conspiracy and two counts of child neglect with the risk of injury.

They are being held on $150,000 bond each.
