CAROL JOANN KERBY - Mt Zion

Carol Joann Kerby, 67 of Mt. Zion passed away July 31, 2002 at St. Joseph Hospital, Parkersburg, after an extended illness.

She was a retired business owner and homemaker. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kerby was born August 31, 1934 in Calhoun County, daughter of the late Edward and Edith Grey Gibson Plant.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck Kerby, son Lawrence Kerby and daughter, Deborah Riddle and her husband Robert all of Mt. Zion, WV; son, Timothy Kerby and his wife Marjori of Berkley Springs, WV; sister, Donna Erlewine of Grantsville, WV; six grandchildren, Ryan Riddle of Maui, Hawaii, Jessica Self of Dusk Camp, Kara, Moe and Briteny Riddle of Mt. Zion and Jessica Kerby of Berkley Springs; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Janet Geiger and Joyce Plant and grandson, Jeffrey Kerby.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, August 4 at 2 p.m. at the Gibson Cemetery at Arnoldsburg, WV. There will be no visitation, Stump Funeral Home of Grantsville is in charge of arrangements.

The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Carol Joann Kerby Memorial Fund at Calhoun Bank, Grantsville.
