"BORN OF REBELLION: WEST VIRGINIA STATEHOOD" - Display Coming To Calhoun, Historical Society Needs Volunteers For Exhibit

(02/11/2013)
The Calhoun Historical Society will be hosting the West Virginia Humanities display of "Born of Rebellion: West Virginia Statehood " from February 27 through March 13.

This exhibit is supported in part by the West Virginia Sesquicentennial Commission and is available at no cost to the society.

The exhibit originally toured the state for two years starting in 2006. It consists of display materials in three triangular kiosks.

West Virginia joined the Union as the 35th state on June 20, 1863.

The historical society needs the community to help with the "Born of Rebellion" statehood exhibit.

Volunteers are needed to assist Society members during hours of operation. Call Terry Harris, 354-7263, or Bob Bonar, 354-7507, to sign up to help, or for more information.
