| Anthony J. Griffin, 73, of Reedy WV died Monday, December 31, 2012 in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
He was born January 8, 1939, in Chicago, IL a son of the late Ambrose Edward and Ann Elaine Avington Griffin.
Mr. Griffin was a retired geologist in the oil and gas industry. He was an Army Green Berets veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Lewellen Griffin of Reedy; step daughters, Angie Lewellen of Reedy, Debbie Pardal of North Carolina and Holly Shepherd of New York; four step grandchildren; brother, Maurice Griffin of Ellamore; sisters, Mary Halpin of Denver, CO, Carolyn Stevens of Northfield, VT, Pat Shadis of Edgecomb, ME and Priscilla McMurray of Buckhannon; nieces and nephews; in 2005 Tony welcomed Scott, his wife, Nicole and four grandchildren into his family.
There will be no service or visitation. Tony has been cremated and burial will be at a later date.
