Doyle H. Westfall, 87 - Gandeeville

DOYLE H. WESTFALL, 87, of Gandeeville, West Virginia, passed away on December 17, 2012 at Lakin Hospital.

He was born April 17, 1925 in Jackson County, West Virginia, a son of the late Albert and Edith Carpenter Westfall.

He formerly worked as a bread delivery driver, was retired from the Spencer State Hospital, and enjoyed farming and playing music at churches and the nursing homes. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church and attended several other area churches regularly.

He is survived by one daughter, Sue Arnold of Spencer wv; a step-daughter, Debra Cottrell of Spencer; five sons, Tom Westfall of Spencer and Billy, Bob, John, and Rick Westfall, all of Gandeeville; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Smith Westfall; two sisters, Delcie Opal and an infant; and a brother, Denver Westfall.

Service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME in Spencer, with Rev. Jerry Malona and Rev. Danny Whited officiating. Burial will be in the Gandeeville Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
