Wilda Arlene Greenlief, 72 - Glenville

Wilda Arlene Greenlief age 72 of Buttermilk Road, Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life at 5:34 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012 in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, Weston, West Virginia, following an extended illness.

Born June 20, 1940 in Gilmer County, daughter of Ethel Turner Tanner of Ohio and the late Roy Sprouse.

Mrs. Greenlief was a homemaker and mother having worked all her life taking care of her family. She loved to read, shop, and especially caring for her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

On May 27, 1959 she was united in marriage to Raymond Glen Greenlief, who preceded her in death on February 2, 1999.

Five children survive, Michael Greenlief and wife Carolyn, Kara Hartman, Rusty Greenlief, Douglas Greenlief, and Rose Harper and husband Jeff all of Glenville, WV; five brothers and Three sisters, Herman Sprouse, Bill Tanner, Rick Sprouse, Roger Sprouse, Randy Sprouse, Marlene Stacher, Cathy Randles, and Vicki French all of Ohio. There are 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren also surviving.

Along with her father and husband, Arlene was preceded in death by one brother Melvin Sprouse.

Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc., Glenville, WV., 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2012, with Rev. Kenny Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Rhoades Cemetery on Kelley Run. Friends may call 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. (2 hours prior to services)
